Joan Small — Department of Cultural Affairs — Letter regarding Hands on Stanzas — June 26, 2003

This letter was sent by Joan F. Small, First Deputy Commissioner of the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, following receipt of the Hands on Stanzas 2002–2003 Anthology of Poetry.

Small was a key supporter of The Poetry Center of Chicago’s public programming during this period. Her role within the Department of Cultural Affairs, under Commissioner Lois Weisberg and Mayor Richard M.
