Poor Virginia's still navigating the grieving process of losing Bondi when Jill moves in.

Jill: "I know I cheated on your brother with a college kid, but we're still good, right, fave sister-in-law?"

Virginia: *sobs even harder*

Jewel: "Why is she even here?!"

Apparently, to form a cool hat club with the other gals of the house.

Brighton: "Oh, so I'm not good enough for a cool hat?"

JoAnn: "Let me have this kid, my husband got pancaked by a satellite last week."

Brighton's also grieving for his big brother and can't find a good way to deal with it, other than repeatedly kicking over the trash can and inviting vermin to descend on the Beech beach huts. Now everyone is suffering from on-again off-again flu. Should've let him have a cool hat, y'all...

StrangeSpot, Round Thirty Two: Smith

JoAnn starts the round in aspiration failure - I have to assume that's because of all the werewolf howling from herself and others, and she doesn't like it. She continues the round in aspiration failure when Jamie is killed by a falling satellite. Now it's rumoured that the latest spate of abductions has caused atmospheric debris to be dislodged...

Virginia's taking things day-by-day as she copes with the tragic loss of her eldest son Bondi.

StrangeSpot, Round Thirty One: Smith

Before aging up to the teen stage, Jewel brought Apple Hart home from school. Jamie realises she's technically his niece, but Jill is firmly in the "pollination technician" camp rather than "parent" camp in this case, and Apple makes it pretty clear that she's an orphan living with Mama Lacy since her dad Leon died. Jamie never got the whole PT thing - but now he's older and wiser, and can maybe understand where Jill and their father and all the PTs before them were coming from.

StrangeSpot, Round Thirty: Smith

Sun, sand and spells abound as Jamie casts goodwill over his family. With recent events, resentment is bound to spring out from the townspeople at their good fortune. Is sharing really caring, or do the Smiths need all the magic they have?

The Smith household live in the Beach Huts by @katatty, made residential instead of apartments, with an added shower block, and renamed the Beech Huts to match the Widespot family members.

StrangeSpot, Round Twenty Nine: Smith

Jamie does sweet things for his daughter Jewel, like casting spells to make the sky glow when she gets home from school. Aw.

Virginia does her sister-in-law a solid by turning her into a werewolf. JoAnn, for her part, carries it well. Those grey eyes!

Brighton does something unusual and searches for aliens with the telescope purely to gain a university scholarship.

StrangeSpot, Round Twenty Eight: Curious

Love is in the air on Cover Up Road! Astrid and Avery have rapidly fallen for each other, and Lettice is rekindling things with Nobel.

Kawaii is an elderly dog now and still super cute, of course!

Avery adores her nephew Spark and even throws a birthday party for him. He's a toddler now, with some familar Weiss features. His parents, Cliff and Edge, seem to be sticking together in spite of Edge also impregnating Cliff's fellow LFT graduate Hi Thyme. Slightly open relationships seem to be A-okay for this household - at the birthday party, Avery made out with Dot Matrix and Astrid didn't get jealous at all. Perhaps everyone is learning from the success of Lazlo and Penny's relationship.

I thought playing a household with three couples, two dogs and a baby was going to be a slog but I actually had a lot of fun watching everyone get along together!

StrangeSpot, Round Twenty Eight: Smith

Bondi skips uni and heads straight to adulthood with a mullet. He then joins Cosmo Curious on an empty lot as they await the formation of a new Singles household. Other than that, the Smiths were uneventful, but they looked good doing it!

StrangeSpot, Round Twenty Seven: Smith

Jewel ages up to a child and looks so much JoAnn! Brighton ages up to a teen and inherits Virginia's jaw/chin, but he might have Johnny's chin thrown in there too for good measure. At Peni's suggestion, Virginia now has glasses and looks fantastic. She's also gone back to her OG hairstyle in my return to MM hair, and JoAnn's done the same. Everyone seems pretty happy with their new looks!
