Job Application Tip #001

Whenever you're applying to a job online* (via an application service or via email), include a cover letter. Even if the job description doesn't make a point of asking for a cover letter, include one anyways. It's a safer bet for you to include it than to skip. Plus, your cover letter allows you to distinguish yourself from other applicants with similar qualifications. Including it definitely increases your chances of landing an interview! *Applying on paper applications usually doesn't require a cover letter, seeing as most paper applications are designed to show only a snapshot of your personal info and work experience.
