I didn’t understand why people on tiktok were complaining about these new ao3 authors at first and now I get it. They can’t tag, they mark their incomplete works as finished, and they’re using AI.

AO3 authors will write about a character taking a pee so casually and yet so detailed to the point where you know it is an undisclosed (untagged) kink of their’s and you gotta hope that the vibes of one weird sentence don’t continue on for the rest of the fic.

the only time i’ve ever had a feud with an ao3 author is when they put “tags may change” and between chapters 1 and 2 (where i bookmarked vs where the tags changed) it went from family friendly wholesome to rated r incest overnight.

I know people like to headcanon Dennis Whitaker having a sad childhood, but imagine how much sadder it’d be if he had a happy one.

Imagine Dennis having a large loving family, good grades, popular, star pupil, and overall having a great life. Imagine him feeling supported and loved by not only his family but also his community. And then imagine that it all ends because he comes out to his family. Next thing you know, he’s getting kicked out. His community turns his back on him. The town no longer respects this kid, they call him “wasted potential”.

Dennis now homeless, is forced to leave town. He eventually gets to medical school and then to PTMC, but despite numerous attempts to reconnect with his family and old friends, they want nothing to do with him. Stating that he is forever dead to the family and to the community a whole. That he deserves his suffering and they wish worse for him.

So he has to live with the fact that turns out love can be conditional, regardless of what you were raised to believe. Since his family and friends and community were so quick to completely shun him out, this internalizes deep within him and eats into his self-esteem and confidence and be a lingering fear in all his future relationships. Could he lose it all again is a thought that keeps him up late almost every night.

All he has left of his family and town are happy childhood memories forever stained cause his family no longer loves him. They feel painful to look back on, and they make him question whether he was ever right to come out.

Rewatched the twilight movie series and I have a few questions I need to share with the internet. Excuse me if these are repetitive I just need someone to talk these things through lol

1. Why did the pack members need to chop their hair off? (I remember somewhere saying it was because when they are wolves their hair length affects how long their fur is. Can’t remember where I read that but I did lol….

When they were at the bonfire in New Moon and Billy was retelling the legends Taha Aki had long hair and his wolf looked normal. Idk seems weird to me like it wasn’t consistent. And why would the ancestors make them cut their hair when it’s apart of their culture?

2. How the hell could Jacob imprint on Renaissance? When the shape shifters whole reason for imprinting was to draw them closer to the tribe so they had a reason and want to protect and to prolong the bloodline. Like is procreation even a thing for them together? And she’s his main enemy the sole reason they exist as shapeshifters lol

Just wanted to share my thoughts lol

Here’s the answers:

1. The books state that if the wolves have long hair as humans, then in their wolf form their fur is really really long. In Eclipse Bella asks Jake why he if fluffier than the other wolves, and he explains it’s cause he’s growing out his hair since she liked him better with longer hair. This isn’t brought up in the movies (at least what I can remember). But considering how the wigs were inconsistent throughout all 5 movies, it’s not like any of the directors cared about character’s hair and its relation to the plot.

2. The wolves don’t actually know why they imprint. The entire “we do it to cement ties to the tribe” is a theory to them. But they know they will either become a lover, brother, friend, or protector of their imprint. The reason that Jacob imprints on Renaissance is just for plot. Sometimes the author doesn’t have a deep meaning behind the things they do, sometimes they do fuckassary cause that extends the story.
