I think I'm older than those you typically help, but I've got a problem that I just keep turning over in my mind until it seems to lose all meaning. The problem is I'm at a crossroads in life. I have a good opportunity to get job training that will let me be a reasonably comfortable hourly employee, or I can continue my degree and become an engineer. Do I take the easy, guaranteed road, or risk the difficult path to greater reward? Beta kids/trolls would be nice, but not necessary. Thanks!
ARADIA: its always hard to encounter a fork in the road like that!
ARADIA: i think the biggest thing to keep in mind is what you want in the long run
ARADIA: since its not a split-second decision or anything :)
ARADIA: the easy way can sometimes be the right way, but not always!
ARADIA: sadly i cant tell you for sure which path you should take
ARADIA: i do think however that you should follow your heart
ARADIA: if youre miserable with what you do then you wont find it rewarding at all!
ARADIA: theres a lot more to life than money
ARADIA: and while its nice to have a secure job its best to try and find one that you find fulfilling!
ARADIA: so my question for you is whether or not you—you personally—want to go into engineering
ARADIA: because if so i think thats what you should consider
ARADIA: will engineering make you happy in the future? will the job training make you happy in the future?
ARADIA: think all that over!
ARADIA: and do take your time
ARADIA: youll make the right choice for you, im sure :)
