Best Bill Clinton biography?

My two favorite Bill Clinton books are The Survivor: Bill Clinton in the White House (BOOK | KINDLE) by John F. Harris, and The Natural: The Misunderstood Presidency of Bill Clinton (BOOK | KINDLE) by Joe Klein. They aren’t full biographies and focus on Clinton’s Presidency instead, but they are the best two Clinton books, in my opinion.

For more of a traditional biography of Clinton’s life, I’d suggest David Maraniss’s First in His Class: A Biography of Bill Clinton (BOOK | KINDLE). Nigel Hamilton also wrote two books about Clinton that I would recommend -- Bill Clinton: An American Journey: Great Expectations (BOOK | KINDLE) and Bill Clinton: Mastering the Presidency (BOOK | KINDLE). 

I’d also recommend Michael Takiff’s oral history, A Complicated Man: The Life of Bill Clinton as Told by Those Who Know Him (BOOK | KINDLE). Taylor Branch’s The Clinton Tapes: Wrestling History With the President (BOOK | KINDLE) is fascinating and based on conversations between Branch and President Clinton recorded in the White House throughout Clinton’s Presidency. And I might as well point out that Clinton’s own book, My Life (BOOK | KINDLE), is one of the better and in-depth autobiographies ever written by a President

Primary Colors was published anonymously on 16 January 1996.

The novel about a fictional Bill Clinton's presidential campaign of 1992 was a best-seller, spending 9 weeks at #1 on The New York Times, and lead to wide speculation about the author. A Vasser professor, Donald Foster, who had done close textual analyses of Shakespeare and other writers, wrote an article for New York magazine, identifying Joe Klein. Klein denied authorship until July 1996.

Joe Klein was an American journalist, author, and entrepreneur who founded The Big Apple, a popular tourist guide to New York City. He also wrote several books, including "The Living Newspaper" and "How to Write a Novel".
