No me es suficiente haberlo dibujado, ojalá se repita la ocasión 🙏💕💕
one of my favourite things about Joe and Georgia in Ginny & Georgia is just how much they manage to fly under everyone’s radar as a romantic couple like it makes me laugh!! 🤭
I know part of it is that Joe’s screentime is relatively shorter than the other male love interests, but barely anyone in Georgia’s life has clocked the vibe between them yet and I can count on one hand the amount of times anyone’s come even remotely close. Ellen’s clocked a bit of a vibe but she’s not a huge plot driver so that’s pretty low stakes, same with Georgia’s sister. Cynthia knows Joe has feelings for Georgia, but at this point I think she fully believes they are unrequited and that Georgia views him more as a plaything (which is funny given Cynthia was cheating on her dying husband with Joe so she should be the one who knows best that he’s completely capable of stealing someone’s wife). Paul made one comment once about Joe having a crush on Georgia but he meant it half as a joke and again genuinely doesn’t see Joe as a threat??? and like no one does??? which is crazy to me??? but, even though he is a beautiful man who owns his own business and worships the ground Georgia walks on, do you know why no one knows to be worried? because JOE MAKES MOVES IN SILENCE LIKE A REAL MAN!!!
I just find it so interesting that Joe does an insanely good job of keeping his mouth shut around Paul, Zion, Gil, etc. and giving no one anything to suspect. I think a large part of that isn’t even intentional; Joe’s just not competing with them. he’s not competing, PERIOD. his focus is on genuinely caring for her. it’s refreshing because Zion and Paul’s respective relationships with Georgia all involve multiple players: Zion has to consider Ginny, Simone, his parents, Gil, and Paul. Paul has to consider the kids, Zion, and even the city/his reputation as mayor.
that’s not to say Joe doesn’t care about her kids—he has a great relationship with Ginny—but his romance with Georgia blossoms in somewhat of a vacuum which is not only refreshing to see in a world where usually shit gets digged up constantly, but it’s also a testament to how real their love is because it’s purely about their feelings, no one else’s.
i went into ginny and georgia season 3 like “oh this is that one guilty pleasure kinda cringey show ive liked for a few years now” but omg the writing this season was so good !!!! it was a masterpiece imo. i did not expect all that to happen—plus the acting!!! it was so well done i’m actually weirdly proud of it. dumping some thoughts here
S3 SPOILERS:
georgia’s faces were priceless here.
#finally
Something that NEED to happen in S4 is Georgia and Joe finally talk about the fact that they met when they were kids i really don’t understand why they didn’t talk about it in S3
I can’t even explain how happy I was seeing Joe and Georgia finally honour their feelings towards each other.
It was nice to see that Joe get that confirmation that Georgia’s line last season “there’s nothing that I don’t think of” be something tangible. Physical. A confession that what Ginny has with Marcus—“that safety” she has it with Joe. I’m so glad Georgia didn’t hide by that femme fatale persona that she shows with everyone. That kindness that Georgia was thinking about 15 years ago in a rest stop in Massachusetts is the same kindness that she is resting in, when everyone has shown their face.
I’m so glad that Georgia saw the depth of Joe’s investment. It is easy to say that you’ll be there but he was. That even when everyone had left and betrayed her, he was there. Offering to give her an alibi even if it meant he could have motive. Visiting her at the lowest and feeding her. Softly holding her to accountability when she was about to leave Ginny and Austin.
Ugh the writers didn’t let me down!!!!
Now all I need and want is married Joe and Georgia (a girl can dream). Or if not, baby dad Joe 🥺😍
