Since I was talking about Joel Sartore in class today and yesterday I was discussing a series that National Geographic had done, titled The Last of the Last, this seemed like a pretty logical post to go with today. If you get a chance read the article How We Decide Which Species to Save, I heard some talk about it on NPR and it was pretty interesting.

These are some great shots by the National Geographic photographer Joel Satore. Joel was involved in a project in Australia a few months ago and took some shots of my birds in his spare time. He is a great photographer who is very passionate about getting good studio shots of as much of the world's fauna as possible before it goes extinct. This gallery has some great examples of his work with zoos.
