May 6, 2015: Bryce Harper
One of the best things about Bryce Harper or Mike Trout doing something special is that we get to play the “youngest player since...” game, and Harper certainly did something special on Wednesday. The Washington right fielder hit homers in each of his first three at bats, becoming the youngest player with a three homer game since Joe Lahoud in 1969. The youngest ever, by the way, is hall of famer Al Kaline, who did it for the Tigers at 20 years and 119 days old (Harper was 22 and 202 days, 10th youngest since 1914).
It was also already the sixth multi-homer game of Harper’s career, making him the seventh youngest player to reach that number, a list led by Mel Ott, who already had 10 at this age.
