Joelle is like Lucy from Elfen Lied.

☆꧁✬◦°˚°◦. ♠ ♣ ♥ ♦ .◦°˚°◦✬꧂☆ Here I am .. once again... going back to my roots of when I was little and was first introduced to the anime , because my endless curiosity of random AMVs has always lead me towards a lot of old classic anime that will always hold a special place in my heart. Some might remember the post I did a while back when a friend of mine asked me 'which characters would you pick to build Joelle? ' . Lucy was one of my many choices , I had really never intended to make such a similarity between her and my OC but it just happened! The amount of similarity that is shared is big , I will admit without any sort of doubt in my heart. I absolutely love Lucy's character to pieces , it just tells so much story and gives so much potential to someone who has been exposed to violence ever since they were little and were viewed to be a monster just because 'she was different' . Then later brought to 'justice' my some , exposed to experiments and kept away from the world because the amount of danger lies within them . But can you really blame her? She was abused... she was practically called a 'demon' just because of her sickness , her only friend betrayed her causing her to lose something dear she held to her heart that gave her a little bit of hope for the world , until that little piece of hope was shattered completely making her the way she is. Losing more and more of her humanity because of the cruelty she had gone through , I absolutely adore the development that follows. Even after everything she went through and what she has witnessed and done , she still finds a place she can call home , given the time to heal and restore her hope for humanity , that kindness and love still exists even after the storm. This is what I love about Joelle's story. After being exposed to the cruelty she never deserved ... watching her family being murdered by her own father , being exposed to violence from a young age , turned into an experimental lab rat and turned into some 'creature with no emotions' left to fight for her own life ... but later on given a chance... given a spark of light for change and hope for better days to come and a possibility for a normal life after the events that occurred in her life spawn . She can be awkward ... she can be very aggressive , she really might come out as a 'monster' to some... but then again my question is , can you really blame her? Healing takes time and the road to recovery is a long journey for her.. that is why when she is shown kindness and love , she fears of losing it ... that's why when given compliments and phrase confuses her because she is used to being seen as a 'monster' , that is why she is so disconnected with her emotions because of fear of what kind of of environment she will create for the ones who she holds dear ... a fear of losing control and going back to the endless darkness she never though she would see light in. I love this comparison soo soo much ... because it fuels me with even more love for her and how she is built and how she grows... Another perfect example of 'Don't judge a book by it's cover... before knowing what they went through...' Thank you for this wonderful ask! I am beyond happy to know that someone was paying attention enough to see the similarities between the two characters , because I just love Lucy. - Cards

It didn't take long for her to arrive at the meeting spot. Soon she was greeted by the so called 'Fang' and a helicopter waiting for them. Joe had made sure to prepare herself since this was going to be a stealth mission and they had to be careful when approaching , since a lot was at stake... one wrong more and Isaac's sister will end up dead. The purple-haired pillar paused herself next to the taller man and nodded.
->" An average Tuesday for the foundation... but a daily route on my end since a detective's job is no kids play. "
She commented .

It’s only been 10 minutes since Joe was left at the lobby to wait for the rest of the crusaders to come back , but in all honesty it felt more than 10 minutes to her , however Avdol had mentioned he would stay close just in case , but it seemed like he had caught himself doing something or more likely investigating. The purple-haired girl just sighed a bit irritated , she had to admit it thought... she was getting tired of being chased around by ‘his’ minions , they couldn’t catch a break at lest for a short period , but then again it was to be expected after all... they had a very important mission to complete on this long journey. Joe decided to get herself a drink while she waited ‘patiently’ for the rest of them to come back , however something else caught her attention , maybe it was the strange wear that popped out more than anything , she felt herself stare longer than intended to , Joe shook her head returning back to reality as her gaze traced elsewhere , but one thing was for sure , she was going to keep a good eye on her surroundings. ‘Could be my imagination...seems like all this chasing around has me suspicious of everything and everyone... ’ a thought crossed her mind. @ask-spw-mercenary

Joelle was nervously tapping her fingers over her desk as she was trying so hard to focus on what she was writing out until she heard her door basically being opened , which made the pen in her hand snap in two. A small annoyed huff left her lips before she trailed her gaze upwards to see who it was. Luckily on her end it was just Arden , another sigh of relief left her lips as she adjusted herself in her seat , holding the broken pen in her hand. It didn't took long until Arden got straight to the point without wasting a minute.
