It. Is. Happening. Every time I see that Ludwig Trepte has liked one of Jörg Winger's Instagram posts, I smile.
In the first picture you see the slogan “We are one people”, the expression that Germany and Germans cannot be seperated. We still belong togehter. The second picture shows what it says today on demonstrations against immigrants and against the actions taken by the government (e.g. wearing a face mask). It says: “We are the people.” The protestors believe they represent the entire nation. It is a crying shame what we as a nation have become. I am very happy that the Wingers included this into their story. (Which we will see in the episode “The end of history”.) I just had to share this. :)

To me this is the best intro among the three. It combines historical slogans and how they changed over time. Thank you, guys, it has been an amazing show!
I love how they combined the hope from the early 90s with the way things actually turned out in this picture. Left side: Being free, “We are building a beautiful WALL, No more walls, no more war. Right side: Unity, Justice, Freedom, a piece of concrete is gone the wall between skin colors and cultures stays.
