SOUTH COAST, BARBADOS (Naked Departure) -- THE SEWAGE PROBLEM on the South Coast has blown right up again!! Vehicles are now dropping into the filthy mess! Which means the conditions reponsible for these flare ups are not being fixed, just bandaged. Are minister Richard Sealy and his buddy Boyce, who took a shower in that sewage water (and emerged itchy) to appease white tourists, capable of doing their jobs and fulfilling their commitments of a clean environment to THE PEOPLE? How is your ministry operating at polyclinics around the island? They are doing dressings for diabetics twice a week. Do you know that people with diabetic sores must clean regularly? Speaking about Randall Phillips Polyclinics at Oistins, patients are having dressings done twice a week with really bad sores and feet are deteriorating.
Now look at this Monday and Thursday is dressing for some of us. Thursday was our last day, Monday would be our next, but Monday being a holiday we have to wait until Thursday, one week. Will someone hear me? I am losing my foot and it's rotting off before my eyes and the stench is unbearable.
Today is Friday, just had dressing yesterday and the dressing is all in a mess already. We are told that the Government don't have money to dress our feet. I am a pensioner, if I could I would. It's not me alone but everyone has complained. This is not political, I am pleading for my health.
I hope one day holidays will be looked at as dressing days. Anonymous
