J.M. Kelcher (John Kelcher, New Zealand, bassist for Sneaky Feelings) recorded “Personal Disorganizer” and “Actual Size” in 1990 and 1993 respectively. Thokei Tapes (Hamburg, Germany) released both on a single cassette back in 2018.
I must have listened to this back then. I know that another Sneaky Feelings alum, Matthew Bannister, also released a cassette on Thokei Tapes called “One Man Bannister” and I distinctly remember listening to that.
I’m a HUGE Sneaky Feelings fan, and this cassette release from Kelcher is as close to early Sneaky Feelings that I’ve heard from another of the big three songwriters (Kelcher, Bannister, and David Pine).
Fans of Flying Nun should take note of Thokei Tapes. Over the years I’ve landed some great Chris Knox, Tall Dwarfs and Robert Scott. Speaking of Scott, Electric Blood is Robert Scott and friends banging out some interesting music back in the early 1980s.
