Oops! Another Diamond (Dimon) Caught in the Rough (redux)

One of my more learned readers has commented that my blogs are too long. OK, I can handle constructive criticism (*!#*!!). So, here goes: short but obviously not as info-filled, insightful and generally terrific:

I have been catching up on some of my back reading:  John Thain. Remember him? The former head of Merrill Lynch, who helped arrange its infamous sale to Bank of America during the financial crisis. All those ill-timed ML bonuses, etc. Anyway, Thain was quoted as saying on about June 14, "The demonization of Wall Street and bankers is very much a function of the press and of Washington, and not much more broadly held." Good timing, John. Within less than two weeks after that comment, Barclays bank, while implicating others, admitted to deliberately manipulating LIBOR (see my July 3 blog), and all Hell has broken loose.
