John Unger cradled Schoep to sleep every night in Lake Superior so that the buoyancy of the water would soothe his arthritic pain. The dog died last month, a few weeks after his 20th birthday.

Murió el perro que sufría de artritis. Su dueño lo llevaba a nadar para que se le aliviaran los dolores, pero la vejez del perro y su enfermedad  lo hicieron descansar en paz.
