Adrian Pe, a designer and nurse from the Philippines, is creating protective suits for those on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. ⠀ ⠀ Pe says the colorful fabrics, which resemble the characters from children's show "Teletubbies," are meant to radiate positivity. ⠀ ⠀ "It's the least I can do to help ⁠— passion and profession," Pe tells CNN Philippines.⠀ ⠀⠀ The suits, which are tailored by seamstresses and medical workers, are made out of non-woven eco-bag fabric, plastic charol and reusable parachute. Officer Michael Rivers

A couple weeks ago, Officer Michael Rivers of the Goldsboro Police Department came upon a woman on the side of the road. She wore a shirt that read, “Homeless. The fastest way of becoming a nobody." Rivers rolled down his window and said hello and then left, but he couldn’t stop thinking about her. “I turned around and I asked her, 'Hey, did you eat today?' And she said, 'No,’” he later told CNN. He came back with sodas and two pizzas, which they ate together on the grass.
