This is my friend from theater and college, John Vessels, working with his partner, Jay Schwandt. John is one of the finest comic performers I've ever known or sung with and possesses (when in a classical setting) one of the most amazingly beautiful tenor voices you will ever hear. He was a good friend to me at a time in college when I was being an extra shitty person (and for a time, a shitty roommate) and the fact that we're still any kind of friend today is testimony to John being the truly lovely human being he is. He'd talked about Lillian Baxter on Facebook for a while but only today did I bother to see if there was any video, and I'm glad I did--now I really want to see his show, and John in all his glory, one day.
