This is "Oast Houses, Kent" by John Cooper from 1934. Recently the location has been identified by contact via Twitter & it turns out that it was actually Forge Farm off Forge Road, between Groombridge & Eridge in East Sussex! This is "Rough Sea, Dorset Coast" by John Cooper from 1934. It depicts a scene at Lyme Regis. He produced several paintings from the town & that general area which were exhibited in Group shows at Alex, Reid & Lefevre galleries in 1934 & 1935.
