Brief Personality: The first impression you get from Johnathan is that he is extremely loud. He is almost always yelling, and all of his text messages come in all caps. However if you look past his angry exterior, he is quite socially awkward. He cares for his children a lot and tries his best to get over his slight social hiccups in order to be there for them. He can be nice to people, if you get past his biteyness.

Brief Backstory:

Johnathan grew up in a big family, he had several sets of sibilings, cousins, etc, always running around his family home. He never really got the proper amount of attention when he was a child. He became somewhat of a wild card, he was loud and would often get into trouble, even bullying some of his siblings and classmates.

However, as he grew up he began to grow a love for technology, he was fascinated by AI and robots, and eventually when he went to college majored in AI Science, and once he graduated he began to work for the New America government in AI Production. He even grew a friendship with the current President at the time Maria Leverett.

When the war started Maria entrusted him and a few other people to a run a government organization called "The Authority", which would begin the process of trying to eradicate AI before they wiped out humanity. Johnathan was appointed as leader of The Authority and fought valiantly against the A.I. Until one day, Maria tasked him and his team to go and terminate another project she had set up at Salendine Industries.

The Authority did so and took over Salendine's project, programming an A.I that would act as a EMP to wipe out all AI. Johnathan took over reprogramming and began to essentially beat all the humanity out of the AI. until the AI escaped.

Johnathan and his team chased after the AI, unsucessfully. Until Maria was able to lure it back home. John slowly began to realize however that the AI was not actually an AI it was just a human child. Maria had lied to him about what the mission actually was.

John helped the "AI" escape Maria, and eventually joined his side as an ally. Johnathan was the main person in charge of saving Alexander when he eventually sacrificed himself to save the world, he worked tirelessly to bring him back, and eventually he did.

Johnathan now works as the Vice President of New America, under Stellan and has adopted Alexander as his own. He now is just trying to find his place in the world while trying to be a good dad.

How strange it was to find it out in the forest near Lakeside. In fact the location itself was rather strange becoming more lush despite how it looked from the entrance and even if it's lush, it's desolate of animal life.

The Young Man:

I thought I was alone in the manor only to find another reading the diaries. He jumped when I cleared my throat and turned, blinding me with the light from his helmet.

The light looked to be far more modern than what is used by today's standards and it easily obscured the man's features.

"What are you doing here?" Was all I could ask.

"I could ask you the same!" His accent wasn't from around here. There was a drawl to it. American? From what I could tell he was young with dark hair and he was ready for a fight given his body language. I have to de-escalate.

"Look I'm just here investigating a missing girl. I'm a private detective."

"Missing girl eh? I've heard rumors this place swallows people up like a hungry beast. Still how do I know you're not pullin' my leg? You ain't some squatter, right?"

My turn...

"Well what about you? What exactly are you doing here? You look like you're here to loot what valuables are left here."

"I don't take kindly to that type of accusation, Detective. If you must know, I'm an Archeologist and here for my own kind of investigation."

Archeologist?

"What could an Archeologist possibly be investigating in an old manor?"

He huffed.

"A lot of people say that this manor is cursed. I'm not necessarily one to believe in supernatural curses; usually when a place is said to be cursed, it's a warning about what natural dangers are encountered there; venomous reptiles or insects, hazardous environments or just a way to scare looters off. But here...there might be something to that."

He pulls something out of his pocket; a photograph of a strange symbol etched into the wall of a room.

"See here? Before the basement was turned into...that...it used to be a darkroom for developing photographs. The Manor's owner at the time of this was a man named Joseph Desaulniers and from what I understand, he was obsessed with capturing souls in photographs and dabbled in occult means to do so. There were symbols like these etched into the walls of the basement and in various locations around the manor grounds."

These symbols...they were familiar but I couldn't place them to any known ancient civilization. I hand back the photos to the Archeologist.

"These symbols...where are they from?"

"From what I've discovered they're from a time before the Romans but there's so little left I've been tracking what little leads I could find about them..." The pause is palpable, I feel as though the sense of dread about the manor has only grown stronger.

"Remember how I said this manor is like a hungry beast? I've managed to decode some of the symbols. They point to a ritual that grants good fortune to those who invoke it. The thing is a constant stream of fresh blood is needed..."

"Fresh blood...you mean like..."

"Yeah...sacrifice."
