Plan B [Feat. John Cooper Clark] | Pity The Plight 

The emotion, mood and dark charactor of this song is engaging. I remember when Hip Hop was comin' up late eighties / early nineties. When rappers use to tell ghetto stories with passion and emotion that set the mood and took you there for length of the song. This song's got a similar feel. Its cleverness is that instead of utilising a traditional hook as the chorous, Plan B gives you excerpts from the movie in which this soundtrack is based. The anxious push and build of the piano riff compliments B's great story telling into the lead up of the excerpt / chorous. The rawness of this is gritty and the feeling is transposed to the listener.
