Fan theory: M3GAN and The Black Phone were rejected Five Nights at Freddy's scripts.

I think that as Blumhouse tinkered around with what the FNAF movie would finally look like, there were so many ideas that ended up not going into the film that someone came along and made two other films out of the scraps. Points to consider:

All 3 films released in the same year. This indicates to me that they were in production around the same time.

All 3 films were announced to have sequels in the same year.

The three films are thematically linked, specifically with the premise of a girl who is special for some reason with an older family member trying to protect that girl.

The Black Phone in particular features a serial killer who kidnaps and tortures children, set in the 1970s, with supernatural elements — including ghost children who try to help the main character. These are elements that are essential to the FNAF lore.

M3GAN features an animatronic that becomes sentient and fixates on protecting her owner, a girl who has lost her parents, by killing any perceived threat. We see this show up in the actual FNAF film.

I have an Experimentally In Love theory. Ron and Luna colluded to get Harry and Ginny together. There were not other applicants, it was just Harry because Ron and Luna thought they would be perfect together.

Ha! Well, you're not the first one to have that theory but no!

I think it's much funner if Harry truly was the most compatible out of hundreds of men and they really fell for each other through science. I think it's charming

The story was not set up that way, and Ginny and Harry aren't that close at the start, reflecting in their conversations and their rating of each other. As they go through the experiment they really have so much more story to go through together than they would if they were already in love at the start of the fic

Experimentally in love

Ginny volunteers to participate in an experiment to help out her friend Luna with her research. In this experiment, they track the progress of a couple's affection and romantic feelings while simulating a real relationship. To ensure optimal results, they are trying to reach a large group of men to find the best compatible match with Ginny. Ron's friend, Harry, is asked to join. Ginny assured him he will likely not be the chosen one and to just fill in the survey.

If you sign up for this survey, you agree to take part in the experiment. This will somewhat simulate a real relationship, but you will receive your instructions on what to do from us. There will be regular checkups. There will be no sexual actions required or allowed. You will only need to participate if you are selected from the pool of survey participants. While the complete purpose of the experiment can not be shared as to not mess with the result, we will research the progress of a relationship and the increase of affection and attraction throughout the dating process.

There she is, getting her heart broken once more. The moonlight gave a whole new light to her tears. They looked like precious moonstones rolling down her face.

The man that broke her heart walked away like it was nothing. It was a crime surely? To abandon such beauty? To cause such a creature pain is a crime worthy of death.

If only I could take away her heart and keep it for myself. That way no pain could come to it. I would make such a pretty golden cage for her. I would protect her so much better then any of the people she gave her heart to.

No one would be able to harm her or make her cry again. I would make sure of it. My Little Bird may not be able to fly, but that was a price I am willing to pay. All I would have to do is lead her to the forest.

There she would be forever trapped.
