This is Drew's birthday cake from three years ago. He dressed up like an astronaut for his birthday party and we made him a really cool rocket ship out of a big refrigerator box. I think the cake was marble flavored; Drew really liked the fire icing at the bottom!
Drew read all of the Harry Potter books in first grade, and for his eighth birthday decided on a Harry Potter theme. He wanted a Harry Potter castle cake. This cake took me a while, because I was baking all different flavors: banana, red velvet, chocolate, yellow, and white in separate coffee cans to make the different towers. Then, I made cut-out cookies for the Hogwart's Express. I also made chocolate frogs. It was a really cool party. We also had a Honeyduke's candy store.
Sam loved superheroes; he would dress in a different superhero costume every day. This was his fifth birthday cake - one layer was chocolate, one layer was yellow, and one layer was white.
