ο John Lasseter είναι ένας Αμερικανός σκηνοθέτης animation. Έχει δουλέψει ως “animator”, σκηνοθέτης, σεναριογράφος και παραγωγός σε παραγωγές της Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar και Disneytoon Studios.

Ως έμπειρος animator γνωρίζει επαρκώς την σχέση της τέχνης με την τεχνολογία, η οποία εξελίσσεται μέρα με την μέρα και δίνει στους καλλιτέχνες τα μέσα για να δημιουργήσουν και να εξελιχθούν. Όπως αναφέρει λοιπόν στο παραπάνω του “quote”, η τέχνη και πιο συγκεκριμένα η τέχνη της ζωγραφικής προκαλεί την τεχνολογία και η τεχνολογία εμπνέει την τέχνη. Πράγματι, χάρις στην τέχνη η τεχνολογία έχει αναπτυχθεί σε μεγάλο επίπεδο, δημιουργόντας και προσφέροντας στους καλλιτέχνες προγράμματα, εφαρμογές και γενικότερα νέα μέσα παραγωγής όλων των ειδών της τέχνης που θα την εντάσσουν στον ψηφιακό και εκσυγχρονισμένο κόσμο. Με αυτόν τον τρόπο η τέχνη θα πάρει το έναυσμα να εξελιχθεί και να δημιουργήσει νέες τεχνοτροπίες και κινήματα του σύγχρονου κόσμου.

Η ζωγραφική τέχνη είναι αλληλένδετη με την τεχνολογία και το αντίστροφο. Με το πέρασμα των χρόνων η μία βοηθάει την άλλη να βελτιωθεί και να πρωτοπορήσει.
