What should I do if my Ex only talks to me when she has a problem in her life? She keeps telling me she wants to be "friends", but I keep finding it harder and harder to be just that... it doesn't help me that she has told me about her current boyfriend and all the things they have done together. What should I do? I kind of want to be friends... but I also don't want to be around just as "backup", which is hard because we had dated for around 2 and a half years...
Tell her honestly how you feel. You can try by saying that this setup makes you feel uncomfortable and awkward. Or you can also say that it's great that you're still friends but the things that she and her boyfriend does is not really the type of things that a person should say to an ex. Just be honest and polite. =)
