“The stars, that nature hung in heaven, and filled their lamps with everlasting oil, give light to the misled and lonely traveler.” John Milton “No Pessimist every discovered the secret of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new doorway for the human spirit.” Helen Keller Are you a pessimist or optimist by nature? I’m generally pretty positive. Circumstances can weigh heavily, and this week is no exception. But I’ll always bounce back and look for the fingerprints of Heaven in not so much the bad thing or difficulty that’s taken center stage, but the quiet lessons of the heart. The small dribbles of compassion and acts of service by loved ones who care. The birds making nests by my doorway and the sunrise greeting the day. Simple moments of beauty, especially beneath the stars, feed my soul. They alight so gently they’re easily missed, like a butterfly that’s stunningly beautify but hushed with quiet as it touches your outstretched finger. But the stars. This lovely chandelier did look like the star’s daughter descending in #Narnia or the light transport in #KOTLC #Keeperofthelostcities where elves travel on light waves. My #amwriting heart is full. #johnmiltonquote #helenkeller (at Montalvo Arts Center) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bvb0ncKAsGB/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1rfwvvpjuczzj
