AUTUMN ELECTRIC - "RIDING THE ROGO" (Live @ Columbia City Theater, Seattle WA April 3, 2014
SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE (one day early, as tomorrow is Valentine's Day): Some bands just 'have' you. That's the case with Autumn Electric and me. Personally I think this band is The Shit; I've traveled 2-1/2 hours, including a ferry ride, just to see them do their stuff.
Autumn Electric is a burgeoning Prog Folk band that can rock. After 4 albums, they've developed well-written songs (even epics) that contain thoughtful stories and ear-worm melodies. This is refreshing, original progressive music of the highest caliber.
Well, Autumn Electric are embarking on an ambitious national tour (recently funded by a very successful Kickstarter campaign) later this month. Since there's a good chance they'll be somewhere near you...... I want to make sure you get the info. The new 5th album, "Star Being Earth Child" (to be released in conjunction with the tour) is an epic rock opera with strong anti-pollution and pro-nature themes, about a lost space traveler (I've heard some of it live, and it's great!). Autumn Electric will tell this tale in dramatic theatrical fashion..... complete with Michael Trew in his new Star Being Cape. How Prog is that?
