‘Murder in Mississippi’ by John Safran Books I’ve Read in 2018 #23 This was a wild ride. I mean, knowing what @johnsafran creates, I knew it would be interesting, but there was no way to predict what would happen one chapter to the next. White Supremacy, stolen Mexican money, and lies upon lies upon lies. Safran does an incredible job doling out the information to us so that it feels we’re discovering it just as he does. It was also lovely seeing John’s distinct voice which I grew to know and love in Music Jamboree written down in the page in front of me to the point I could hear the conversations so clearly. An incredible read, and one that has me in the mood for some more True Crime. . As a bonus, I’ve included the message John left my wife and I when we met him in Canberra for the publicity tour of the book back in 2015. Thanks for reminding me about dinner, John. Sorry it took me so long to read the book. #murderinmississippi #johnsafran #richardbarrett #mississippi #minimonotonebookclub #booksivereadin2018 #booksivedrawnin2018 #booksreillustrated #bookstagram #houlart #houl https://www.instagram.com/p/BpAe_Vplviw/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=rsmgtc2cdxjm
