VICTOR TREVOR IS A CHARACTER FROM SHERLOCK'S PAST IN ACD. They were in uni together and that's canon. Victor had a dog.
@johnsjawline That’s my point, victor had a dog. He was not a repressed memory as a dog!!

johnsjawline replied to your post “The Key To Understanding S4 of Sherlock is to Accept Mary as She Is…”
Her death is literally impossible. There is no way you can jump in front of a bullet like that. Your rant does not explain this in any way.
Hi @johnsjawline! Thanks for commenting. My rant didn’t explain Mary’s death because that wasn’t the topic of my rant. I was discussing female antiheroes, not the plausibility of someone jumping in front of a bullet.
But since you brought it up, the in-world plausibility of her action is established way back in ASiP with things like Sherlock’s ability to text “Wrong” to everyone at the police press conference, Mycroft’s ability to make phone booths ring at just the right time and to control all the security cameras, Sherlock’s ability to beat up a corpse with a riding crop, the accuracy of his deductions, John’s kill shot, and the idea that somehow the Hope shooting was never connected back to John.
We go on in later episodes to have wall-scaling acrobatic killers, delayed-action stabbing, the Fall, everyone’s passwords and security being easy to guess and hack, the flight of the dead, Sherlock deducing and having control over which way he fell when he was shot, him restarting his heart, and all sorts of crazy cases.
None of this is very plausible in real life, but it IS plausible in the story world of Sherlock because it was established from the very first episode that in Sherlock’s world, stuff like this is totally possible.
Mary taking a bullet for Sherlock fits easily into this larger-than-life, slightly impossible story world. If we accept all the other crazy stuff in this show as intended to be real, there’s no reason to reject this as unreal.
Hope that helps! :-)

They said he insisted on doing it alone. There's a video on YouTube.

I'm washing my hands tbh. They don't deserve us.
they really don’t
Honestly I have to scream about this because I'm not seeing anyone else talking about this: there's that new photoset which contains pictures from both TST and TLD (I believe?) and there are some pictures of Mary dressed in the same clothes she got shot in... which is already weird enough. BUT on top of that, the bottom right picture looks like it could be Mary looking out of the window from inside their house at the end of TST when Sherlock is leaving! They gave us that shot from the outside!
YES! I have seen the speculation going around about this! It’s super interesting to me, especially the overlay of the window fading into Sherlock reading the letter and Mary’s voiceover is overlaying all of that. So. It’s a pretty good theory, and I like it.
