US university offers new equine degree course

A New England university is redesigning its equine degree program and will offer two new bachelor of science degrees in animal studies starting in the autumn of 2023.

In an expansion of its four-decade equine program, Rhode Island-based Johnson & Wales University will offer new degree courses in equine studies and animal science.

Heading to my cooking assessment right now as we speak! What’s not in the picture is the pineapple I cut but it was good as heck! Pray for me that I catch the chef eye! And then there was one. The last of my Ward tours within the 277 loop. Third Ward is represented by INDUSTRY; and that industry is sports. I was able to capture two state-of-the-art stadiums in one image. Immediately behind the Third Ward statue is a beautiful little park dedicated to our city’s founder, Thomas Polk (see my Fourth Ward tour). The French Quarter/Latta Arcade is one of Charlotte’s oldest shopping areas, directly across from Romare Bearden Park (look at that view!). Third Ward’s got skyscrapers, including the city’s second largest, Duke Energy (Duke Energy, you’re number two; take from that what you will). The light sculpture, that has varying colors and geometric patterns, is a lot more impressive at night. Third Ward is also home to Johnson & Wales University (I’ll be honest, I don’t know what they teach there; but I do know they don’t have a football team). The uptown Mint Museum, the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, and what I call the “Disco Chicken” in front of Knight Theater are all grouped together conveniently. And I wrapped up my walk around Third Ward with a stroll past the recently renamed Third Ward Park and Charlotte’s oldest luncheonette (and one of my favorites).
