23. our characters waking up together

After so many years Sherlock was used to waking up alone, so when she didn’t she needed to recall a thing or two. Less then a split second it took her of course to remember who she had woken up besides and why that was exactly. But she remembered soon enough and as she did she tried to get up without disturbing him. She wasn’t entirely sure what to do in situations like these but somehow a quite escape seemed advisable. At least to her it did.

And so she rather carefully tried to get up. Without disturbing him, she didn’t have a sleeping pattern as regular as John’s and some might argue that she needed her sleep more but she was up now anyway. She wasn’t about to wake him up as well.
