Cannes memories never really fade. Ten years ago at the 69th Cannes Film Festival, after squeezing through a sea of journalists from around the world in the packed press conference room, I managed to capture this special selfie with Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling, who were there with The Nice Guys. Director Shane Black was also in the frame. Ryan, in a playful mood, pointed at Russell Crowe, making the moment even more unforgettable. Now, with all the excitement around Project Hail Mary, this beautiful little memory from Cannes 2016 suddenly feels alive again.
