I am a Journalist, Lyricist, Author, Scriptwriter, Online Show Producer, Online Show Host. I am the first entertainment journalist from Bangladesh to cover the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. From 2015 to 2022, I have covered the Cannes Film Festival seven times in a row.

On April 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. (Paris Time), the Official Selection 2026 will be unveiled during the traditional annual meeting with the French and international press, in the presence of Iris Knobloch, President of the Festival de Cannes and Thierry Frémaux, General Delegate.

The event will be live-streamed on the official Cannes website and on its official Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube channel, in both French and English.

The 79th Festival de Cannes will take place from May 12, to May 23, 2026.

Cannes memories never really fade. Ten years ago at the 69th Cannes Film Festival, after squeezing through a sea of journalists from around the world in the packed press conference room, I managed to capture this special selfie with Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling, who were there with The Nice Guys. Director Shane Black was also in the frame. Ryan, in a playful mood, pointed at Russell Crowe, making the moment even more unforgettable. Now, with all the excitement around Project Hail Mary, this beautiful little memory from Cannes 2016 suddenly feels alive again.
