I'm just doing some research for an assignment at the moment and of course I scooped up the opportunity to use Bucky/Sebastian Stan as my guiding part of this project and watching this movie in 0.25 speed, no matter how. many. fucking. times. I watch Captain America: The Winter Soldier I always notice something new and this time I almost started crying in class
Look at his fucking face
That sheen in his eyes are clearly tears because the shot isn't rotating, only zooming in and out and that wouldn't create any reflection or glare. He's crying, it's a 6 second shot in total but the sheen swells. It's tears, he's crying
You can see the horror in his face as Bucky fully breaks through from the Winter Soldiers control for the first time in 70 years, the bank scene is nothing compared to the pure realization and horror of what he's done and been apart of on his face in this moment.
He's terrified, and it's not some big scary monster, it's him. He's the thing he's afraid of...
UGH THIS MAN, THIS CHARACTER, THIS FANCHISE OMFG EVER DAMN TIME
