My Experience Rewatching Jojo After 5 Years #1

Content Warning: Mentions of JJBA Part 5 Hate (LOL), References to Part 6 Spoilers

So, I've been rewatching JJBA with my girlfriend. I haven't seen the show since I was 16, and I never got around to watching part 6, but I know about a lot of the major spoilers. We're at part 5 right now, and I remember it being so dull when I first watched it. Upon second watch, I find it boring me to tears! But the thing is, 1. I am NOT a part skipper, and 2. it means that I can put off the major heart break part 6 is about to give me...

I'm fighting for my life to make sure she doesn't get spoiled for part 6. All she knows is that the universe resets. And I keep expressing how sad I'm going to be when we watch part 6 (both because of the reset and because I love Jotaro to an unhealthy extent). When I tell you she dead ass was like, "God, it's not like Jotaro dies or something." People, my sweat ran cold. I had to save it by being like, "Well, it's sad because everyone is technically gone if the universe is reset... and, you now, the main Jojo has some childhood trauma and stuff..." Just trying to bullshit so hard. And then, I tried to subtly ask if she had been spoiled at all, which she denied. Now, today, we're both once again complaining about having to bear through part 5 (she also is finding it exceptionally boring so far), and I start whining once again, "Well, at least it keeps us from the sadness of part 6!" And she goes, "It's okay... Jotaro will live on in our hearts." AND ONCE AGAIN, I was so worried! "Wh-what do you mean...? What are you talking about?" She replies: "Well, the universe resets, so."

Everyone, (I say to the two people reading this), let us all let out another relieved sigh. I need to keep my stupid mouth shut... but alas! My heart! It bleeds!!

I'll probably keep posting updates about my thoughts as this journey continues. I'm sure I'll have a lot to say about part 6, at least.
