“Sometimes I feel I’ve got to run away. I’ve got to get away.”
@jojoisnomo asked: " too weak to throw a decent punch... "
she thought training by herself might help, just put in an earbud and she’ll surprise her sisters with how great she can fight after more practice. even she’ll admit, that punch to the punching bag wasn’t good but she wasn’t going to say it to him. she looked over her shoulder at jojo, stopping the swinging bag. “it wasn’t great but it was better than decent.” bubbles sighed, crossing her arms over her chest. “did you come over to give me fighting advice?” or maybe he came because professor was at some convention (buttercup called it a nerd convention).

Michelle hadn’t meant for Owen to be there, she swears, not that that ever seems to mean much to Mojo. He’d shown up earlier than he was supposed to. He wanted to see his favorite (read: only) “niece” and she’d told him to come by at least a half hour after Mojo had said he’d drop her off. Instead he’d been early, wanting to spend the time catching up. She’s sure that he did that on purpose, knowing Mojo would be dropping Momo off.
She sighs, but a smirk crawls up her face. “Actually I think it’s three now, if you count this one.” She turns her head to look at him, “Unless you plan on screaming at me for him being here?” She shrugs. “In my defense I told him a later time so I could avoid this.” She exaggerates a shudder. “Could cut the tension with a knife, you know?” She turns back to Owen and her daughter, a smile growing on her face just by seeing her baby girl again. “She really likes him, you know. I think it helps he doesn’t talk down to her when she asks questions about his computers.”
@jojoisnomo HIT THE DIAMOND
she lets out a deep breath and keeps steady eye contact with him. is she really turning her back on a superviallain that probably has no problem killing her? yeah. she is. she doesn’t want to hurt bubbles and dipper anymore. “I said,” she grinds out, “that i’m out.”

if they were NORMAL people, she probably wouldn’t be so fucking anxious about starting this conversation. hell, if they were normal siblings, they probably wouldn’t need to have this conversation. as a normal person, he’d have spent her childhood with her instead of concocting harebrained schemes to destroy her; they would hide in the bathroom with an oversized blanket and watch some terrible movie on his tablet; he would have been there for her first crush; she would have known about his first boyfriend.
if they were normal, they wouldn’t exist --- it would be an entirely normal joseph utonium, free of any enhancements thanks to chemical x, living with his studious, distracted father, unburdened by three color-coded near-human children.
it’s totally useless to think of the WHAT IF’S, the could have beens, the maybes.
plus, she’s not exactly on the higher ground here. there’s a lot of things she hasn’t told him about. he probably wouldn’t care if she did, anyway, except to use whatever she told him in some plot whenever he’s feeling ESPECIALLY neglected and angry. not that she’s ever used anything he told her, in confidence, against him in a fight. buttercup knows her big brother. if he’s desperate enough, he’ll use whatever upper hand he can get because he never has many.
buttercup takes a deep breath, using jojo’s fancy cheese knife to cut off a slice of camembert. “so.” it’s casual, but it’s as soft as the cheese in her hand. it’s just one word, and it doesn’t sound at all like her. “when were you going to tell me about owen?”

“Mojo, please. Speak to me.
I’m not going anywhere and the girl's obviously got held up by something." Hopefully, nothing too serious, while he'd gotten used to the verbal demeanor and rather extravagant mental puzzle games Mojo subjected him to, Utonium wanted to get through to him.
This would get them nowhere. It always ended the same way.
The Professor knew he wasn't innocent of the life that had led them this. That his actions and irresponsibility ruined many of those around him without the man even stopping to realizing his mistakes.
"You must have so much to say, I am ready to listen. Tell me whatever you want, whatever you must. I know I'm guilty of many things, in many cases, I'd consider myself a villain too."

It was just her luck that right when she needed to say goodbye, the one she was trying to reach wasn’t around his phone to pick up. Thank god for voicemail systems.
“Hey, big brother. I know this voicemail might seem a little odd but just bear with me, okay? I know I’ve been a... fairly bratty younger sister all these years but I just want you to know that I have been really happy to have been able to get to know you better lately. I can make a dozen and a half excuses as to why I acted the way I did growing up and they would just sound rather half-assed but there really isn’t much to say. I was a kid, I learned and repeated what I was told. It took a while to be able to separate everyone’s biased opinions and develop my own. I’m glad I did or else I would have missed out more than I already have. Like building a nano-suit with you and getting drunk at trivia night-- I still can’t believe you let me underage drink!”
There was a chuckle as she thought about that night. She really should have learned to let loose a little more. She was missing out on so much and by the rate of things, she should have taken chances sooner.
“I wish I could continue to make more fun memories with you... however, I don’t think it is possible to do so. Either the enemies are getting smarter or I really am losing my touch as a superheroine.” Be stronger, Blossom! You have to be, make more memories.
“So, um.. in other words. Thank you, Joseph, for giving me another chance as your little sister. It’s been fun.”
Thinking about it, she had more and more reasons why she had to protect this town. It was her home, it was her family’s home. She had to give it her all. “Oh!! And if by any chance I do manage to come out of this okay, please disregard this message and let’s go back to our friendly bickering, okay? Love you.. or something!”
