It was the second that Tazaki rounded the corner he felt as if he had walked in on a private moment. 

Gazes interlocked across the short distance separating them like two star-crossed lovers teetering on the edge of bittersweet farewell, he found Sakuma staring at a cat with an almost comical expression of seriousness gracing his features. Was he too scared to approach it, fearing it would escape, or was he attempting to will it over telepathically? At any rate, Tazaki couldn’t help but break the other’s concentration -- and with it, this heart-warming moment -- by coughing into his fist to stifle a huff of laughter.

“That was quite the expression.”
