Okay, Hol' up, hol' up, hol' up. Now I'm really curious! How did Izuku find out that if people came too close to his wings that their eyes would get damaged or kill them?

the way izuku finds out is during the overhaul fight.

he doesn’t exactly reach peak final form, but he gets p darn close...

eri is unaffected (as she is under izuku’s protection at this point)

it does frighten her, but not as much as you would expect! she still thinks of izuku as her savior/guardian angel ;-;

overhaul, on the other hand....

izuku is in a rage at this point bc people who he was supposed to be protecting (mirio and nighteye) have been hurt

and he feels his power reaching levels it never has before...

the fight is a Lot shorter in this au, bc overhaul is blinded and badly injured by being in the presence of izuku in his super angel mode

the people on the ground also aren’t hurt, as they are too far away to quite see what the heck is happening

izuku is extremely freaked out by this and vows to not let his quirk get so out of control ever again
