I wear this when I’m craving warm skin and wet weather. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @jomalonelondon Black Cedarwood and Juniper has a wet warmth thanks to a heavy dose of cumin. It’s the same as Le Labo’s Rose31, and as I write this, I’m thinking I want to try those together. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is a LE bottle of a scent that they then made permanent but then phased out. It was part of a group of scents created (2014) around the idea of rain, not petrichor exactly but rainy weather. Just a little Jo Malone perfume family portrait. The Wild Fig and Cassis is one of my favs, and it's finished. Grapefruit is an easy wear, especially in the summer. I used to do this thing where I hid my favourite perfumes from myself if I felt that I was using them up too quickly. Kind of like how people hide cookies or candy from themselves so they don't eat it all, but with perfume. Anyway, I said used to, because I definitely don't do that anymore. Life is too short, and perfume is meant to be consumed and appreciated. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So when I found my bottle of Dark Amber and Ginger Lily by @jomalonelondon , it was a happy reunion, and I instantly remembered how much I still love this one. There's a sweet mellow mouth-watering ginger, rose, and an amber and incense finish. It's elegant and smooth, easy to wear. It's a warm tea that soothes as it goes down your throat.
