JON LAWLESS - “CAPITAL”
Alright, here we go. I’m back at it.
Before I put TID on hold, this was the first song that I had on my “to blog” list. I think there’s about 20 songs, so I’m gonna go through those 20 first, and then continue on with new music.
So I do think a lot of the obscure music I blog should be rather popular, but this song in particular I think should be in a major motion picture or something. If you liked the Emo phase of the 2000s akin to Death Cab, to me, this track fits that hole that’s been missing this whole decade. It starts off with a poppy yet robust indie sound, then around the 1:30 mark the song totally shifts gears into this really ominous drum beat and then closes with accented guitar and piano and dreamy vocals (Daniela Andrade).
I’ve already listened to this song 3 times in a row. Spectacular.
