Time to memorialize this page.
It comes as a little bit of a regret, and somewhat sadness, although I'm not sure how much regret and sadness it is. Like I said a bit of it. Because the thing is I really don't think anybody ever read the text-based version of Tunes I Dig here on Tumblr.
If you did, and you were a regular reader for years and years; I started in 2011 so even if you came on reading around 2015, if you are someone that actually regularly checked this page, I would just love to know; just out of pure curiosity. So if you did read this page PLEASE message me on Instagram-- please haha. I just want to know who, if anyone, actually read this page.
Onward, Tunes I Dig has grown into my YouTube channel which is doing very well. It started as the idea to make this text based blog a video based blog, with the hopes of expanding on to some sort of kind of street work akin to Much Music back in the day. Well I'm just about actualizing that idea, and now I'm actually expanding into new territory that was not part of the original ethos.
Because the YouTube channel and the Instagram are growing, and because I don't think anyone reads this page LOL, my time consumption is ramping up and I need to find places to cut time out of my schedule. And again as I said, because I don't think anyone reads this page, and even if they did it's only an advertisement for my YouTube channel anyway--I need to save time and just not post these mini advertisements here.
And so I've decided to cut out posting my YouTube links here. Of course I'm still going to leave this page up because it means the world to me. This is where I started; I started posting tunes I dig 10 years ago, and not really thinking it was going to amount to anything. I was doing it for fun I guess at the start; I did want to do something on YouTube but I didn't think that it would be the continuation of this text-based blog. So I'm definitely going to leave it here for people to come across over the years. I just won't be posting to it anymore.
So to that, whoever is reading this, whether you're an old reader or someone that's been a fan of mine throughout the 2020s and you have found this page: Thanks for reading, thanks for watching, I'll see you on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and beyond. I was a fan of MuchMusic back in the day and I always wanted to be a vj. Well Tunes I dig is reinventing the VJ. Tunes I dig is reinventing Music television. I'm having a lot of fun doing this and I'm genuinely so excited to see what the future holds.
Peace and Love,
Marco Pitino
