Love is LOVE
SHELTER — 2007
It doesn’t matter how many times I watch the 2007 movie Shelter, as soon as those opening notes of Shane Mack’s soundtrack start, I breathe in fresh sun stained beach air, and smile at the love story unfolding before me.
I recite lines like bible verses, an oath I memorised to live my life by, because I can change and be the person I want to be, leaving fear behind as I continue on.
I must have found this film during a time of upheaval and unrest, because its instant calmness is so immediate, so overwhelming, that it feels like it was used as a shield from something troubling.
