the sweet birthday boy
When I asked Jonah what kind of cake he wanted for his birthday he said he wanted banana cake, so I made banana bread cupcakes with chocolate frosting—gluten free & dairy free of course. They turned out pretty good and needless to say J loved them. It is such a joy for us to give him things he loves. He has woken up each morning since his bday asking for a “be-nana cup-it” for breakfast.
For Jonah’s 2nd birthday we went to the zoo. It was so fun to take him there after talking about it for days. He was so excited. He woke up several mornings leading up to his birthday asking if today was zoo day. He loved seeing all the animals; his favorite was the giraffe. Graham had a ball sleeping practically the whole day. It was perfect weather—mid 70’s and very sunny. We even got Jonah a snow cone! After the zoo, we went to an Indian fast food restaurant where Jonah ate spicy daal, which he loves.
side note: That boy loves spicy everything! He even asks for sriracha sauce to put on his food at home. When he tastes it he gets wide-eyed and says, “moe!” (more).
