A soft click of the door brought me back down to earth and I blinked slowly as I remembered where I was, silk sheets, large windows a cheap candle from the nearby grocery sitting dangerously close to the edge of the nightstand with a Rolex laid out carefully next to it.
I turned my attention away from the window and the city below it in order to face my…what were all of us? Boyfriend felt too childish and at the same time, too…offical.
Cassian was wearing his favorite sweats and a baggy shirt, well as baggy as it could be with the width of his shoulders and the amount of time dedicated to the gym. His long hair was for once let loose, and I relished in the sight as it framed his face, embracing his boyish handsomeness.
A crease formed in his brow as he noticed me staring. "What's wrong?" He dropped his bag on the floor before nearly tripping over it to reach my side, calloused hands brushing against my forehead. "Are you feeling alright? You're never in bed this early." He murmured and I placed my hands around his wrists pulling them away so I could look at him properly. "I'm fine Cass. It's raining." I said simply, nodding to window that had entranced me mere moments ago, soft droplets rolling along the glass before they would eventually fall off the windowsill. Cars still roaming the streets despite the gloomy weather, the sun slowly setting.
He turned behind him as if finally noticing the rain before looking back at me. He just shrugged, his massive form bending down to pull off his socks before practically jumping into the bed with me making me bounce slightly. A giggle escaped before I could stop it and a wide grin spread across his face as he made himself comfortable, shifting so he was laying his head on my stomach, gaze directed at the windows as those hands rubbed soothing patterns into my skin.
I started playing with his hair, running my fingers through long strands as I stared at the window, entranced by the peaceful sight before me once more. It was almost laughable how easy I had melted at the weather, under Cassian's soft touch. I could myself sinking into the calmness that had settled.
The door opened once again and this time Azriel stepped through, steps even and sure until he noticed us cozy on the mattress. "What are you doing." He asked, voice soft as if it would shatter whatever moment he'd entered.
"It's raining." Cassian answered for me and Azriel looked to the window just as he had done before. "Yes it has been for the past thirty minutes."
"I like the rain." It was an offshore thought, spoken mindlessly yet the men snatched onto the piece of information greedily, storing it away. Everything, they wanted to know everything.
Azriel just hummed, walking to the opposite edge of the bed opening one of the windows on his way and the soft raining against brick, the occasional beep of a horn only added to the ambience. He slid under the covers, settling himself on my side like he'd done this a million times, fitting his arms around me like he belonged there
He did. I thought selfishly, sinking further into the soft, steady presence's of the two. Azriel nuzzled his head in the crook of my neck, eyelids fluttering shut and I let out a deep breath one I didn't know I'd been holding. The only person missing was-
"What is going on here?" A familiar voice rumbled through the room only a few moments later. "'s raining." Azriel mumbled and Rhys just shook his head something flashing across his face before crossing the room and appearing before me, leaning down and pressing a soft kiss to my mouth, then my nose, then my forehead. I hummed, my heart melting at being so close to all three of them.
Rhys didn't say another word, claiming the only free space left on the overly large mattress and tucking himself into my other side another kiss gently placed on my skin before he settled, twining my hand with his.
"I like seeing you like this” He whispered. "Like what?"
