Today is the Day! Our covers record with Tanya Donelly is finally out on American Laundromat Records! The entire journey of making this record was such a joy. When Tanya first reached out to us to see if we were interested in the concept, we were like, Are you kidding me!? Oh Sh*t !! and YES!!!Tanya is such an inspiration to us, not only for her unbelievable talent and incredible musicality, but also her pure heart and kind generous spirit. And her voice? It’s unforgettable!Tanya chose these 9 epic songs, ones that have played on rotation in her head throughout her life. What an honor to work with her on such iconic songs and attempt to bring our own take to them. Working in Jon Evans’ Brick Hill Studio with the beautiful light shining through the windows, the animals lounging around, Ariel’s baby sitting in our laps, and Tanya’s awesome daughter hanging out, truly captured such a beautiful spirit of friends and family making music together. Jon Evans and Matthias Bossi are a dream team rhythm section and what they captured on drums and bass is perfect. Huge thanks to both of them, and our wonderful sister Lydia Parkington for the addition of her beautiful cello playing. And many thanks to American Laundromat for making this happen!
