♻️ • @joniandfriends Today is World Cancer Day, a day when we recognize all those who have been impacted by this terrible disease. Our founder, Joni Eareckson Tada, has personally experienced the pain and suffering that comes with cancer. For three years Joni underwent chemotherapy and a mastectomy. She was declared cancer free in 2015, but in 2018 doctors discovered another cancerous tumor. "When I received the unexpected news of cancer from my oncological surgeon, I relaxed and smiled, knowing that my sovereign God loves me dearly and holds me tightly in his hands. What good is it if we only trust the Lord when we understand his ways? That only guarantees a life filled with doubts.” - Joni Eareckson Tada By the grace of God, she received the surgery she needed to remove the tumor and was declared cancer free once again in 2019! No matter what trial you're going through right now, remember that Jesus is a Savior who understands what it means to suffer, nailed on that cross. Jesus, the most God-forsaken man who ever lived, leaned on God through his own suffering. And he did it so that we might never ever be forsaken by the Father in our suffering. “If earth’s happiest moments are slices of heaven, then our tragic moments make us yearn for it.” - Joni Eareckson Tada #WorldCancerDay #JoniandFriends #CancerAwareness #HopeandHealing #TrustinGod #yogafaith #Trust (at YOGA FAITH) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoRUQMmME_I/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
