i know we’ve all been having fun with the whole agent donovan and jay thing but have you ever thought about the implications? agent donovan, who (im assuming) has been working at the administration before jay, meets this guy who isn’t completely brainwashed and starts to bond with him. this might be the first person he’s been able to have a connection with. let’s assume they become friends.
donovan might be the only person who has never told jay who he was supposed to be or forced him to be something else. donovan LIKES jay for who he is and isn’t expecting him to be anything or anyone else. this version of jay is the only one he knows and cares about.
jay leaves the administration. he then comes back with two friends and is asking to bring back his memories. now put yourself in donovan’s position here. you clearly care about this guy and want to support him in his choice to remember his past, but that would bring forth a version of him that you wouldn’t recognize. it would be the “real” version of him, and the person you know wouldn’t really be there anymore. you would become a footnote in his restored memory. but you know he wasn’t happy as an agent and you know he wouldn’t be satisfied going the rest of his life not knowing of his past. would that not tear you apart a little?
the implications guys… THE IMPLICATIONS!!!
