Jonathan Kent Ship Week Voting Time!

I will be hosting a Jonathan Kent Ship Week around early next year. All Jonathan Kent ships are welcome: canon, noncanon, rare, silly, weird or just plain bizarre. Before we start Jonathan Kent Ship Week, we need to decide on dates and prompts.

The voting for the prompts and dates will be located here. You have until Labor Day when the voting polls will be closed. Ask if you have any questions. All asks are officially opened.

Welcome to Jonathan Kent Ship Week

This is my first welcome post, so welcome. This is a week about Jonathan Kent and anyone shipped with him. Whether it be popular or rare. I will tell you a little bit about Jonathan Kent Ship Week and why I've decided to do one.

I've often come across Jon Kent weeks and any week where he's shipped, and I thought it'd be cool if there was a week that focused on shipping Jonathan Kent with whomever. It's very often that any ship week that includes Jonathan Kent shipped with anyone usually are popular ships like DamiJon or JonJay, while excluding any rare or controversial pairings. Jonathan Kent Ship Week includes any and all pairings that are shipped with Jon.

The idea of this ship week is to bring everyone together regardless of who you ship Jonathan Kent with. At the end of the day, we all love Jonathan Kent and some of us have multiple ships with him. Any ship with Jonathan Kent is welcome. You're allowed to ship our favorite ball of sunshine with whoever you think would be right for him.

All rules and guidelines can be found here or in the link in the description of this account. I will go over the rules as soon as the prompts are in. You may vote for the prompts and what week you wish to have this on right here. You're allowed to vote for multiple prompts, but can only pick one week to have Jonathan Kent Ship Week.

So far, the prompts with the highest votes are childhood and friends to lovers. The prompt with the second highest votes is best friends. The prompts with the third highest votes are Love at First Sight, School, AU and Jock Falls for the Nerd. The prompts with the fourth highest votes are Vampires, Soulmates and School Dance/Prom. The prompts with the fifth highest votes are Firsts, Starcrossed Lovers, Prince/Knight and the Dragon, Justice Lords, Angst, Rivals and Enemies to Lovers. The prompts with the highest votes will be included in Jonathan Kent Ship Week.

The votes for the week to have Jonathan Kent Week seems to be neck in neck with the first three weeks of January and the second week of February. I will keep you updated for the votes on the prompts and weeks we will have Jonathan Kent Ship Week.

Almost 30 Votes!

We have 28 votes thus far. The votes were rising up and had stayed at 27 until a few days ago. If I can get up to 40 by next month, I will start eliminating the lowest votes. You're allowed to edit your votes or use alt accounts. Remember that you can vote for as many prompts as you desire, but only vote for one date.

We have Childhood as the one with the most prompts for 18 votes. For the second most voted prompt, we have AU with 16 votes. Friends to Lovers comes in for third most voted with 15 votes. Fourth is a four-way tie with Starcrossed Lovers, Vampires, Best Friends and School Dance/Prom with 14 votes. Coming in fifth with 13 votes is Love at First Sight, School, Prince/Knight and the Dragon and Soulmate. At 12 votes, we have Jock Falls for the Nerd, Culture Difference and Secret Identity(ies) Revealed. If there are no edits or extra votes, these will be the prompts that will make it through to Jonathan Kent Ship Week.

The prompts that have the best chance with making it next month with 9-11 votes are Firsts, Multiverse Ships, Freeday, Cursed, Monsters, Genderbend, Marriage, Justice Lords, Angst, Take/Lend Clothes, Flirt, Flying, Damsel in Distress, Fairytale, Superhero Duty, Flower Language, Rivals, Enemies to Lovers, Country x City, Fire and Ice, Heritage, Magic User, Stargazing, Pink Kryptonite and Long Distance Relationship. If you want any of these to be in Jonathan Kent Week, then vote or edit your votes if you haven't voted for those.

As for the date the week will be, January 15-19 is at first with five votes. Second place is January 6-12 and February 10-16 with four votes. Third place is January 20-26 and March 17-23 with three votes.

Time for a Late Update (sorry)

School just started, so this update came later than usual. All the prompts that gained under 10 votes are now gone. The remaining prompts have ten or more votes with 50 that have voted.

The prompt with the most votes is Childhood with 29 votes. The second most voted prompt is Friends to Lovers. The third most voted prompts are Best Friends and Justice Lords. The fourth most voted prompts are Vampires and Prince/Knight and the Dragon. The fifth most voted prompt is Soulmate. The sixth most voted prompt is Love at First Sight, AU and School Dance/Prom. The seventh most voted prompts are Starcrossed Lovers and Culture Difference. The eighth most voted prompt is Pink Kryptonite. The ninth most voted prompts are School, Flying and Enemies to Lovers. The tenth most voted prompts is Firsts, Angst and Damsel in Distress. The eleventh most voted prompts are Take/Lend Clothes, Flirt, Flower Language and Secret Identit(ies) Revealed.

These are the prompts that will be accepted as prompts if the votes remain. If you wish for other prompts not listed to be in the list, then go vote. The lowest votes that made it on the list is 14, so any prompts still listed have 10-13 votes. If you've only voted for one or two prompts, you may edit your votes to add extra prompts you're interested in doing.

For the week of the event, the week with the most votes is Jan. 6-12 with nine votes. The second most voted week is Jan. 13-19 with eight votes. The third most voted week is Feb. 10-16 with six votes. So far, it is between Jan. 6-12 and Jan. 13-19. Let's see if one of these can get a few more votes. With a few more votes, the week can happen on the week of Valentines Day. I noticed some votes didn't vote on a week, so if you never voted on a week, you can go edit your vote and choose a week for the event.

August Update

It looks like we got a few more votes this month. 33. Next month, I will be eliminating all prompts under 10 votes. For now, here is what we have so far.

Childhood is the top most voted prompt with 22 votes. The second most voted prompts are AU and Friends to Lovers with 18 votes. The third most voted prompts are Best Friends and Vampires with 16 votes. The fourth most popular prompt is Love at First Sight with 15 votes. The fifth most popular votes are School Dance/Prom, Soulmate, Justice Lords, Prince/Knight and the Dragon and Starcrossed Lovers with 14 votes. The sixth most popular votes are School, Culture Difference and Enemies to Lovers with 13 votes. These are the prompts that will be voted in if they remain. The prompts with 10-12 votes are Secret Identit(ies) Revealed, Long Distance Relationship, Pink Kryptonite, Stargazing, Rivals, Hanahaki Disease, Flower Language, Superhero Duty, Fairytale, Damsel in Distress, Flying, Flirt, Take/Lend Clothes, Angst, Jock Falls for the Nerd, Monsters, Cursed, Freeday, Multiverse Ship and Firsts. What are your favorite Jon ships?

JayJon's kinda got OTP status for him for me. I enjoyed the dynamic he had with Ash, too, but that was barely anything, and KathyJon has a very special place in my heart as a first friend, first crush kinda thing but I don't ship them at the place Jon's at now; though I do still wish they'd re-introduce Kathy. ImraJon is whole big pile of nothing and the only people I've personally seen ship them are homophobes mad that Jon's kissing a guy now lol. Though if you're a not homophobic ImraJon shipper, more power to you. And DamiJon just personally gives me the ick, I don't know why. Best of friends to me, brother from another mother, but a lot of shippers have made this one weird for me.

(Also, me not liking a ship shouldn't discourage you from alluding to or including it in your work, just don't make a ship the focus and all's good 👍)
