Plans for 2012
Finally get below 10% body fat, pass my degree with a 2:1, hang out with Jon Mack more if I finally get home, make sure me and Laura stay good until she goes to America
Things I would like to do:
Get to know Stuart better I like to think we would get on over our love of games.

These are a few shots I took to show the progress of my first ever bike build. I had the privilege on the lovely Jon there to show me how it all goes down! If anything could be awkward, my bike made sure it was awkward! We ended up using a torque wrench repeatedly to get the bottom bracket in far enough without damaging the threads; we replaced one set of bearings; the seat post is SUPER long (it definitely isn't ever leaving the frame!); securing the handlebars was a total mission and the pedals had what we thought was definitely a design default. Oh, the brake mechanism isn't long enough to grip the wheel rim either, so I need to go back and swap that for a bigger one on Monday :)
It took about 3-4 hours, but we stuck through rain, snow and a fucking freezing December day with some Down to Nothing, Underoath and Earth Crisis to motivate us! I'll post a picture of the final work! It's beautiful.
Bristol was rad.
Bristol is such a cool city. So many vegan cafes. So many hills for bombing. So many bits of decent street art. Hanging with Roxanna and Jon ruled. Being around likeminded people is such a posi boost and needs to happen more often. The vegan fair managed to provide me with loads of free food samples - so many freegan calories. I really need to start buying hemp seeds when I have enough privilege to be able to.
One of the most posi things about the whole weekend was seeing a dude on a fixed gear and shouting "Do a skid!" at him. He complied and gave a smile. It was amazing. I now have a bike frame and forks in my possession. Hopefully I will be getting the rest of the necessary parts in the mail tomorrow and I can put it all together then. I'm definitely applying to Bristol university and hope I get in. If not, I could see myself living there for a bit when I'm older. I just need to live in the positive environment that city has.
