my psychiatrist told me to take up to 10-20mg of melatonin at a time if i felt like my sleep was getting too fucked up

so melatonin doesn’t know its audience clearly

I just read that our bodies only naturally produce about 0.5-0.8 mg of melatonin a day so 10-20 mg seems like an astronomical amount 😰 but it’s not like it’ll Kill You......I can see how it could become counterproductive tho.

But yeah like the thing it’s supposed to treat is a Symptom of depression don’t fuckin tell me I can’t self medicate with this harmless thing......I could be treating it with way worse shit
