You never cease to amaze me, J. Can you do another Joonas Rask imagine where you have a kid from a previous relationship (maybe with a guy from Dallas stars) and he asks you and your child to move in with him then the kid non stop calls him dad.
When you started dating Joonas you were apprehensive. You had done the life with a hockey player before and it left you broken. You didn’t just fear for your life but for your five year old’s life as well. He had a good bond with his hockey player dad, but not as good as it could be. His father still wasn’t grown up. Even at the ripe age of 25, he still loved to party more than spending a night in with is son. So, you made sure that if Joonas was going of be apart of your life, that he was also going to be in your sons.
You and Tyler had a made a plan when Corey was two that he would spend weekends and three other nights at Tyler house. That of course was before Tyler started up with his bad happens again. You loved Tyler and you were sure that a part of you always would, but you couldn’t deal with his parting ways. You thought that once Corey came he would be different. He was for the first couple of months, but then he started coming home late, then not coming home at all some nights, his clothes smelled of other women and you honestly couldn’t take it anymore. You left Tyler before Corey turned one. It took sometime for Tyler to man up long enough to have his son for the summer. You were sure it was more the fact that Tyler was around his mother. Whatever, it was he was actually being a good father to Corey. So, that’s why when Joonas asked you and Corey to move in with him, you began to worried.
“I have to talk to Tyler first. I mean I would love to, but I think Tyler should know.” You said sitting in the car.
“Whatever, you feel is best. I support you 100 percent, you know that.” Joonas smiled as he parked the car in front of Tyler’s Dallas home. Man, did you love this man.
“I’ll be out shortly.” You smiled as you kissed Joonas.
The walk up to the front door felt long. You kept replying all the different outcomes that could happen. How were you going to start it? You wondered as you knocked on the front door. The wait felt like years, it wasn’t until you saw Corey’s face that you felt the worry wash away.
“Hey, buddy! Did you have a good time with daddy and nana?” You asked as you picked up your smiling boy and walked into the massive house.
“YEAH! Guess, what?” Corey giggled as you placed him down on the ground.
“Daddy, let me drive the boat!” He yelled happily.
“No way!? Was it fun?” You smiled.
“Yup!” The boy smiled as he ran out the back door to play with Tyler’s dog’s.
“I hope your not mad.” Tyler said as he walked downstairs with Corey’s bag and other stuff.
“Oh no. I trust you enough to know you wouldn’t put him in harm.” You smiled.
“Good.” Tyler laughed as he sat on the couch. “What’s wrong?” Tyler asked as he looked up at you.
“Huh?” You said tearing your gaze aways from the backyard.
“You have the I need to tell you something face on.” He chuckled.
Damn he was good at knowing you still. You couldn’t help but smile as you took a seat across from him. You folded your hands, as you kept your gaze on the coffee table. You let out a sigh before talking.
“Joonas asked Corey and I to move in with him.” You said biting your lip, still not wanting to move your eyes off your hands.
You were beyond shocked. “What? You’re okay with this?” You asked.
“Yeah. I mean, I’m glad you told me but you need to be happy. I know that I mess up a lot and I’m still getting use to this whole father thing still, but Joonas is good for you and Corey. Although, I still want my summers with Corey.” He said.
“Of course, I won’t take that from you or our son. And thank you.” You smiled.

“This is my room!?” Corey yelped as he walked into his new room.
“Yup! All yours and we can even repaint it too if you like.” Joonas said placing the last box of Corey’s in his room.
“Really!?!? Can, I paint it blue?” Corey smiled as he ran over to the window and peered out.
“Sure.” Joonas smiled. “But first we need to unpack, bud.”
“Can, you help me put my sheets on the bed dad.” Corey said turning to look at Joonas. There was a big bang from the living room.
“Y/N, are you okay?” Joonas asked starting to walk over to the door.
“Yup!” You said unsure. You had just heard Corey call Joonas dad, no you were not okay. Happy tears spilled from your eyes as you picked up the books you had dropped on the floor.
It didn’t take long for you guys to finish unpacking. Most of the stuff you guys had were clothes and personal items. Once everything was in it’s place you began to start on dinner, while the boys went outside to play catch.
“Dad, could you teach me how to throw a curveball?” Corey asked handing the ball to Joonas.
“Sure, I can.” Joonas said as he showed his son how to throw the ball.

“Dinner, was wonderful babe.” Joonas said as you two got ready for bed.
“Thank you.” You smiled getting into the bed. “He called you dad.” You smiled as you watched Joonas change his pants.
“It made my day. No, it made my life.” He smiled making you smile.
“Mommy?” Corey said as he knocked on your bedroom door.
“Come in bud.” You said. “You okay?” You asked.
“I need daddy to check under the bed for monsters.” He whispered.
Joonas just smiled as he picked up Corey and a flashlight from the nightstand.
“Okay, but we should bring this for backup, yeah?”
